2. Schedule an introductory meeting

We know that your finances are a personal matter, that’s why we do our best to guide you and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the financial planning process, starting with your confidential consultation. In our complimentary initial consultation, we will learn about your finances, goals, financial concerns and what you hope to achieve through a relationship with AWM. This helps us determine whether we are a good match for you. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about our firm and discuss any questions you might have.

3. Decide on engagement and initiate data collection

Once you’ve decided to work together, we will need as much information about your finances as possible. We want to understand your personal goals and objectives for the future. You will need to fill out a few forms and provide us with all of your financial documents (i.e., tax returns, investment and banking statements, insurance policies, employee benefits statements, key business agreements and personal wills and/or trusts). We will conduct an in-depth review of your current financial situation and objectives to create a blueprint on how to achieve them.

4. Begin the financial planning process

As planning progresses, we’ll refine and review recommendations on all financial matters of concern to you. In several meetings we will review your information in detail, refine our recommendations and answer any questions you have to insure you understand the details of your financial plan. We will provide you with materials to organize the information, reports and analyses we update regularly. You can then put your financial plan into action and decide how often you’d like to have follow-up meetings.

5. Ongoing financial planning

Our main job now is helping you stay on track following the financial planning process. Each follow-up meeting, we will review your plan and your progress and make adjustments as needed. We believe in long-term relationships with our clients. Your financial goals may change over the years and have a significant effect on your financial planning strategy. It is important to revisit your plan as time goes by to reflect the changes in your life so that you can stay on track with your long-term goals.
